Snorkeling Liveaboard
3 day 3 night snorkeling liveaboard to the Similan Islands, Surin Islands, Koh Bon and Koh Tachai on board MV Sawan. MV Sawan is a dedicated snorkeling liveaboard boat trip (no scuba divers) with lots of snorkeling at all the best spots plus beach visits, island exploration and more. Sawan liveaboard takes a maximum of 18 guests in comfort. There are 8 twin bunk cabins and one Master cabin with a double bed. All cabins have air conditioning. There are five shared bathrooms.

Schedule: MV Sawan departs every Sunday and Wednesday. Sunday departures leave from Tap Lamu pier (a few minutes drive from Khao Lak) and return to Kuraburi (1.5 hrs drive from Khao Lak, transfers back to Khao Lak are included). The Sunday to Wednesday itinerary is below. For Wednesday departures the itinerary is reversed and the boat departs from Kuaraburi and returns to Khao Lak, doing the same great snorkeling in the oppposite order. |

Itinerary. After lunch, snorkeling on the east side of Island 8 (Beacon Bay and Donald Duck Bay). At Donald Duck Bay you can climb up to the viewpoint rock and enjoy an amazing view over Similan Islands. Day 2: First snorkeling after breakfast is at KohTachai, whale shark sightings are always possible here. There will be a chance to visit the beach at Koh Tachai before cruising to the Surin Islands. After lunch, snorkeling at Pak Chak Bay, then visit the Moken Sea Gypsy Village to learn about their culture. 1630 hrs snorkeling at Turtle Bay where we hopefully can see turtles or you can go by dinghy to the main island for some relaxing on the beach and swimming before dinner on board. The night is spent moored in Surin. Day 3: Snorkeling starts at Koh Torinla, a highlight here is schools of batfish. The final snorkeling spot is Mae Yai Bay, one of the best snorkeling spots in this world. Lunch is served on board then we cruise back to Kuraburi, arriving at about 1600 hrs. The transfer back to Khao Lak will take around 90 minutes. |
