Not Included: A set of dive equipment THB 800, dive computer THB 400 and Nitrox Tank 32% or 36% THB 400. Similan Park fee THB 200, Similan Dive fee THB 200. Snorkelers/non divers can go on the boat at a reduced rate.
Khao Lak Diving
Local Khao Lak dive sites are mainly used for training except for the Boonsung Wreck which is an excellent day and night dive full of life and occasionally visited by whale sharks.
The most popular daytrips are to the Similan Islands, usually with 2 dives per day. Trips run with speedboats or slow boats.
Diving daytrips also run to Koh Bon and Koh Tachai as well as to Richelieu Rock. Many reputable dive companies will require experience beyond Open Water certification to join these trips (either Advanced certification or a minimum number of dives) as currents can be strong and depths beyond 18 metres.
